Oats are a true cereal grain and have a high protein and fat content. They are an excellent source of B vitamins and minerals.

High in polyunsaturated fats, they are a good source of long lasting energy.

Oat flour can be used in breads and gives it more moisture and a slightly sweet flavour. Rolled oats are used for breakfast cereals and muesli.

In the right, dry conditions oat groats can be stored for years without losing quality.

IMPORTANT: Please note that some batches of oat groats may have a few grains with the husk still on them as well as a bit of chaff unfortunately. Some people float the chaff off AFTER flaking. We usually just use the oat flakes as they are.
